About Us
KC ZAHRADA is one of the three non-profit organizations centralized under Kulturní Jižní Město o.p.s. (includes also the cultural center Chodovská tvrz www.chodovskatvrz.cz and the Public Library Chodov www.mistniknihovnachodov.cz )
KC ZAHRADA offers cultural and free time activities for all – from children to seniors. In the program are different cultural events as theater and film performances, concerts, fairy tales for children and courses led by experienced teachers.
There is a children’s corner with toys and a café with free Wi-Fi.

For the eleventh time, and this year for the last time, we will meet at a popular event for children and their parents. All neighbours from Jižní Město are welcome – Czechs and foreigners alike! Create, have fun with Czech history and board games or compete in a thematic quiz.

In the summer, the visitors can use the community garden with a children´s area and a fireplace. Here are organized the open-air events – concerts, theater, barbecue etc. Part of the garden is also offers for cultivation.
Spaces in KC ZAHRADA can be rents for private and company activities (more here). The cultural center has a multifunctional hall equipped with professional technology, a ceramic and art studio, a gymnasium and a number of other smaller halls and classrooms.
The building is accessible for person with a handicap and it is baby friendly.

Space for rent
Big hall/auditorium (capacity 180-200 seats). Suited for cultural events, conferences, trainings, balls, school academies, seminars etc. (variable arrangement, digital light system, sound system of high quality, data projector, projection screen, air conditioning, direct entrance to the stage from the ramp, two cloakrooms).
Small hall (capacity 50 seats). Suited for small cultural events, seminars, training etc. (data projector, projection screen, air conditioning, flipchart).
Art and ceramic studio for workshops and other courses.
Two mirrored halls suited for exercise classes (ballet, yoga and others).
Gymnasium suited for sport activities (not suitable for ball games).
Other halls and classrooms, which are fully equipped, on request, is possible to adjust the individual room’s arrangement to specific requirements (sound and light technology, recording equipment, projections for seminars, piano etc.). Simple snacks or coffee breaks can be also arrange for your event.
In case you do not find a suitable space in the KC ZAHRADA, you can also rent the space in the historical building CHODOVSKÁ TVRZ.

Kulturní centrum Zahrada je jedním ze dvou kulturních středisek společnosti Kulturní Jižní Město o.p.s., tím druhým střediskem je historická budova Chodovské tvrze. KC Zahrada nabízí kulturní i volnočasové vyžití pro všechny věkové kategorie – od batolat až po seniory. Disponuje multifunkčním sálem, zrcadlovým sálem, keramickou a výtvarnou dílnou, tělocvičnou i řadou menších sálů či učeben. Divadlo, film, hudba a společenská setkání jsou nosnými prvky programové struktury tohoto kulturního centra. Široká škála zájmových aktivit je zajištěna řadou kurzů a kroužků, vedených zkušenými lektory.
Od časných dopoledních hodin až do večera zde může návštěvník využívat této nabídky včetně posezení v naší kavárně, v letních měsících potom využít i prostory v přilehlé zahradě zařízené dětským pískovištěm, zahradním mobiliářem a fixním ohništěm. Za příznivých podmínek jsou v zahradě pořádány k venkovní koncerty, divadla a jiné open air akce. Veškeré prostory KC Zahrada je možno využít i formou pronájmu pro soukromé či firemní aktivity, celý objekt je bezbariérový.
